Hip, Hip, Hooray!

Just a quick congratulations to G for passing his thesis defense last week!  He did a wonderful job, but unfortunately, as we always seem to do - we forgot to take any pictures until we were back at the car.  We'll definitely snap a picture when he defends his dissertation. (and knowing me, there won't be many posts between now and then...)  Congratulations, G!

One Week

Yes, yes, yes.  I suppose I should post something before the big day.  But, I just have to say, it's only one week, and then I finally get married!  Hurray!  While I am ridiculously excited, I must say, I am at the same time, in the same way, grateful.  How could I have ever found such an awesome man?  Truly a miracle, and one for which I will forever be grateful.

BYU Baseball

G and I recently went to a BYU baseball game.  I know, I know - you're all thinking, "She went to a baseball game?"  And the answer is, "Yes, yes I did."  It's true.  And it was actually fun, even if it was FREEZING. Somewhere in the middle of the game, out of nowhere, Cosmo came and plopped down next to me.  G claims he put his arm around me, but I was oblivious and didn't notice, so I can't say if it's true or not.  But it kind of looks like Cosmo's arm might just be behind me...  It was a good thing G was there to scare him away.

D.E.S.I.G.N. *Updated*

It only took me nearly 6 months after moving in to finally do something in my bedroom.  It all started when I got euro pillows.  Ideas started forming.  I started with the pillow shams, then transferred to the nightstand, moved to the window, and finally settled on the faux-headboard.  And, I'm definitely in LOVE with how it all came together.  I definitely have moments when I wonder why I didn't follow my teenage dream and become a designer. (PS.  Yes, I made the pillow covers, the "headboard", and if you'll remember, the duvet.)
